8th gen civic type R conversion

Hi,

i was wondering if anyone here has done the full interior FD2R interior conversion? May be not all but like the RPM meter and the speedo meter to red colour. Can do it? Can we actually swap the type R engine into our FD2 without getting into trouble with jpj?

another i want to ask is the audio. seen anyone changed the head unit to other brands like pioneer?

my uncle sold his FD2 to a guy, and the guy did a FULL FD2R conversion.

same chassis and same mountings, shud be plug and play for conversion..no prob with the jpj i guess..i think u gonna spend atleast 35-40k for the conversion, y not opt for a used FD2R instead, with a bit top up..

how much did this guy did for a full conversion? i was thinking to swap the engine with a type R engine and change the gear box 1st

full front cuts (including interior, seats, wheels, suspensions) could reach somewhere around 20k.

add that to another 100k on the price of the car, and you still have a bargain.

i believe a FD2R k20a halfcut will go for 30k or so... if including all the things u mention... easily 35-40k man...
