6A12 Vs 4G91

As I mentioned in earlied post, if look for balance weight ratio, 4G91 will be the best. u can enjoy fun in handling.
I had felt understreet when I set up with 6A10 into my Satria.
I notice that a ton of engine heat is in my engine bay when running with 6A10, but not in 4G91.
Now my satria is running with 4G92.

Asked spare part shop last weekend..

6A10 : Timing Belt(MMC) RM 350-400 (100,000KM)
: Spark Plugs(6 unit) RM 180-250
: Engine Oil 4 liter ++ (don't know exactly)
Have to buy separately 4 lit + 1 liter or there's specified for V6.

4G91 : Timing Belt(MMC) RM 320 (60,000KM)
: Spark Plugs (4 unit) RM depends what type you're using..
Ex: Bosch Super 4 (RM 50)
: Engine Oil 4 liter, Ex: Duckhams 15/50W (RM 45)

As far as i know for the time being these the big differences of this 2 engine... Other than that..??
Since this engine heavy and i don't know what make it heaaavyy..

Is there's any other solutions to make it more lighten (pick up n FC) by not combine it with any part from other engine..??
What i mean is by mod this engine all alone...
 
it seems all reviews here weights towards 4g91... but ur heart is the one playing with u... deep in ur heart wants a v6 engine in ur engine bay... u jz reluctant to accept the fact huh... hahaha....
 
weight...v6 carries 2 extra piston,conrods,cam shafts,cam pulleys...1 extra fuel rail,1 extra head and an extra long crankshaft...
v6 dies at low end...but conquers the top end...
v6 got nicer sound..and quiet...
fuel consumption...heavier=need more power to move=need more fuel...
v6 is more to a cruiser...not a monster...430 bhp...yeah after spending a few g's you'll eventually get there....of course with the same amount spent on a mivec...you'll go way up higher....

Another is u need consider on changing of plug and plug cable on 6A10, u cannot DIY on this machine as u need to remove out intake manifold, quite a big task. :bawling:

Bro, heard that halfcut for 6A10 does includes rear disk brakes and not with 4G91..?

That's really quiet heavy task if have to remove the intake manifold bro...
Usually how much it cost only on the labour charge..?

i just own a mivec and i have no ideal how to mod the mivec engine ,every thing inside the engine compartment is stock except the HKS power flow from half cut.

yup, Is quite hard to mod on mivec as short of aftermarket product.
But, u still can go to basic items like 421 + good exhuast system and performance clutch set and lighten flywheel etc.
This might help.
 
for FC
my friend's 6a10 ( manual) wit full tank from KL to genting then genting back to KL then KL to melaka and melaka to KL used only half tank only
while the 4g92 mivec (auto) rm 10 of fuel for 75 km

6A10 original manual gearbox is come with close ratio and big FD; is it as same as with Mivec gearbox.
Fuel consumption is abit high if high speed in highway.

that the the car driving at 120-140 with 4 ppl inside but my friends says the fuel abit no chun la at that time arrive at home i can see the niddle pointing at half tank. if u really wan to go 6A10 u must consider some thing like do u travel alot and ur weight if u fat as me better dont go 6a10 cause that time i sitting in fornt the car the car lower alot cause by engine heavy too, if u like to rev high RPM also better dont choose 6a10..... my opinion....

But still did'nt get pricing on my 4G15 at carb engine...

maybe u can try on sub-ecu instead of cam pulley, it might help more.

FD = Final drive.
