4AGE reliability on oversize piston

Well here is the scenario
My ck4a originally has a 4g92 sohc engine but I changed it to a mivec 4g92.
How do I confirm if its oil or fuel problem?
In a straight line everything seems fine. I'm hitting mivec but...
