the pictures are a lil bit too dark for me.. personally i don't really like the 'v' shaped front grill.. but then it's worth the asking price of the car with all that features thrown into it.. well, it's not an evo..

great article and like the article suggests the lancer is very underrated. I have a modified 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer US spec and i'm very happy with it!

true, the base lancers will not perform like its brother the Evolution but the lancer has alot of potential! here in the US we have turbocharged lancers both in automatic and manual pushing well up to 280hp with basic bolt ons. As aftermarket support grows for the lancer market Lancer owners are able to push the envelope little by little.

My car club has just finished swapping over a Galant 2.4 motor into one of our 2002 Lancers and within a month it will be going under the knife one more time to get a turbo installed. We also have another lancer thats going to have a built motor and individual throttle bodies and a custom programmable ecu.

its good to see some support from other countries in regards to the base lancer.

no worries. i like it...the kit is from VIP styling company Kenstyle of japan

www.kenstyle.co.jp they tend to design the kits with big rumps like that one...it looks really nice when i have it slammed to the ground.

just wanted to show you guys that the base lancer has plenty of potential.

here's a sneak peak at my car clubs prototype Big 16g turbo'd 04 Lancer Automatic.

do you even need to question that?

Stock vs. stock the evo will win.

That black lancer with the big 16g turbo up top that i had posted has beaten 2 lightly modded evo's and 1 lightly modded WRX and that lancer is an automatic too.

Our current project car which is a 2.4L Lancer is going back to the shop to get its turbo installed we're hoping that it will be pushing beyond the 300whp mark once its out of the shop.

We also have a 04-06 Ralliart Lancer which is equipped from the factory with a 2.4L MIVEC motor and it also just recently purchased its big 16g turbo kit from our sponsor after breaking in the turbo the car went to an autocross event and had to compete against a 350z turbo, 3 evo's, NSX's etc. pretty much a list of modified performance vehicles and it had placed 2nd over all.

This car is not bad actually , I had test drive it till 140km/j bt i feel it still stable n not so noisy at all . Pick up very fast and the rpm stay at 2000rpm only from 0 km/j to 80 km/j so it is very fuel economic . I had booked tis Lancer n will get next week hehe .. This mth got offer RM6000 , normal price is RM101k at sabah only bt West Malaysia I don't know how much is the offer :) go n hav a test drive !
