The 2015 Audi TT may still be brand spanking new, but that has not stopped Audi from churning out concept models based on it. This time, we got news that Audi has a racing version of their latest 2015 Audi TT. The new racer will race in the Audi Sport TT Cup which follows the German DTM schedule. The Audi Sport TT Cup is primarily aimed at beginners and club racers. Audi is fielding 24 cars in total, but is also reserving 6 spots for various guest drivers.
As mentioned earlier, the 2015 Audi TT will sport minimal power upgrades, so the 2.0L TFSI engine manages a maximum of 306hp, but is coupled with a “Push-to-pass” function, which temporarily adds an extra 30 hp for drivers to, well, pass other drivers. The six speed S-tronic gearbox from the production model is also found on the racer.

You immediately feel that you’re sitting in an Audi and recognize the close kinship with the brand’s other race cars.”said race driver Markus Winkelhock who is a coach to the participants taking part in the Audi Sport TT Cup.
