The decision has been made and the motion passed....
Now from September onwards RON97 will cost RM2.00 and RON92 will be phased out in favour of RON95 which will cost RM1.75 per litre.
So the question is...would you fill in your beloved ride with RON95 or Ron 97 when September comes?
Personally I would stick to RON97. I survived the RM2.70 per litre era.... so RM2.00 per litre would not hurt that much.

Some facts to clarify a few things after going thru this thread:
1) RON92 was never meant to be an inferior fuel. It will work just fine in 95% of cars on the road. It just got a bad rep as "minyak merah murah", confusion that it was leaded (Its not), etc.
2) All cars that come into Malaysia (except from grey importers), are required to minimally run on RON 92. All will run just fine on RON92, with the Civic Type R as maybe the only exception.
3) Most modern day cars have knock sensors and will adjust the timing accordingly to the type of fuel. So no issue of having to retune, etc.
4) Malaysia's V-power is RON97, NOT RON98/99. Its expensive because its derived from an entirely different better quality base fuel and has far more superior additives that Shell has put in. Refer para 6 ---> http://www.motortrader.com.my/NUS/articles/article_712/page_m.asp
