full Overhual for BT engine

hi all BT- 20V brothers .......

have anyone done the overhual for BT like following : -
1. changed of Piston from standard 81mm dia. to 82mm dia.
2. engine overhual kit ...04111-16330 GASKET KIT, ENGINE OVERHAUL .
3. TRD metal Gasket 0.08mm ( izzit usefull ? increase power ? ):stupid:
3. etc ...hehe ...

1. 82mm piston is normally aftermarket forged piston which is quite pricey....or u can op for ori toyota oversize 81.5....i used this few set b4 n cost not more than 1k for piston n rings

2. the gasket kit doesn't include main & con rod bearing n trust washer. u still have to buy seperately if u plan to do full overhaul

3. yes very useful increase response n last longer. increase compression as well. original gasket thickness is 1.25mm if not mistaken n came along with the overhaul kit

4. might as well do balancing or do 3 angle valve cut if got extra budget. balance eng will give smoother engine n dun easily burn bearings. but blktop eng original is more balanced than svt eng. reckon do the bottom block 1st if budget tight. head job can be done later. metal gasket is a must n in future u do head job u still can use it back....i reuse back my metal gasket after dismantle my eng for 3 times n still no prob but that is not so recomended but hantam only
 
sorry for interrupt...how about svt overhaul? my foreman suggest to transplant halfcut rather than overhaul....

1. ya ...i plan to buy back the orginal Piston ..81.5mm oversize a bit ....but the Block & new piston need to take to " skimming factory " to skim to the 81.50mm diameter ...right ? hehe :hmmmm:

2. maybe i will plan for doing Port n polish on head la .....cost abt 350 - 450 ...with new method ....running with liquid one ......

then must budget around 2-3k la .....:banghead:

overhaul set svt is around RM330+-.. bt set is around RM290+-
piston bt 81.5mm RM400+- piston ring RM200+-
conrod & main bearing + thrust washer RM200+- conrod bush RM40+-
full balancing + bore RM1k+- Done by TOKLAH RACING
roughly counted included labour mayb around 3-5k cause many thing cannot count such as steering rack bush.. fuel filter.. mayb mounting koyak.. some hoses.. etc...

overhaul eng get better result coz internal all new and can use long time. change to other used eng u don't know the condition of it and hav to endorsed engine no another time

what the brand for the conrod n main bearing/ quite cheap..racing bearing?
 
anyone try 81.5mm piston before? how big is the performance increment just for the oversize piston alone?

3 angle valve cut = "Grand-valve" ....foreman called ....hehe ....correct me if i am wrong .....:confused:

TODA piston anyone .... the design fuh ... can get high compression

i use the gasket is from Japan but dunno what brand, price also 300++ .

if not mistake, the brand call ART... i polish myself so is free :proud::proud:, use the liquid sand and autoso polish inside ur head shining loh..
