R34 GTR monthly payments

Owning a GTR is great.. I cannot empasize that enuff!
2.8% per annum interests is good, unlike me, have to pay 5.9%, coz its a 2nd hand car, not unregistered.. but heard horror stories about unregistered GTRs.. anyway, I put up with it coz mine was in great condition.. but be prepared for a heafty d/payment if u dont want to be burdened by a stressful monthly installment... maybe do what I did and save up patiently! Its worth it!

What horror stories? Rust? GTR sambung? Give some heads-up to future GTR owners who are browsing this thread hehe!

aiya why so hard .....thinking about loan and everything.....just sell the property u own and pay cash for the car la......why so hard rm250,000 plusplus...not much la ..some one just sold of his fully paid condo for rm310,000 and bought a r34 gtr rm260,000plusplus and a new double story teres house worth 180,000 so now he only pay the bank rm 1k for the house and his gtr is free bonus....so now he can park his car safely in his house compound inside his custom made 14 feet gate.....thats what i call win-win situation..get house and car.......

well, unlike cars, housing property do not depreciate tat much...

OTR means the $ you have to pay to get the car out. Basically it's the downpayment + insurance + roadtax + JPJ registration + inspection + no plate. For the GTR, I would presume it is approximately RM50K + 6K + 200 + 1k (not sure on this one) + (RM210 -> RM80k : depending on the no plate you are looking for).

Well, heard a few horror stories, like, failed pistons & broken crankshaft after one unfortunate malaysian bought an unregistered R34 GTR. Reason I know this is because he is the guy who tried to buy my car from my car's previous owner, but opted for unregistered as it was cheaper than a 2nd hand from Malaysia GTR, having more annual interest rate on the loan. But luckily he managed to presuade the company who imported the car (whom he bought the car from) to cover some of the cost. I guess you can never really find out how much the car has been trashed from the japanese owner. I know of some companies which ask you to pay them a depost so they can import an unregistered car for you, which is truly a gamble, coz u dont even get to sit in the car for a test run.
Best advice is, save up to buy the new Nissan GTR!

Oh yeah guys,
Another thing. I heard 2nd hand car loan period is only up to 5 years. Is this true?
If its not, then whats the maximum period of loan can we obtain for a 2nd hand car?
Thanks

Nope,it depends.....u still can get the loan up to 9yrs....

I own a GTR - bassically every month need to spend at 8K on the stupid car tat include my repayment... not thinking of selling it rather used the money on some where else... example get a property

anyway my advice is u need at around 5k prepare each month if you plan to own a R34 GTR (Petrol + Valet parking + repayment + etc) if you plan to pay 2K plus each month on repayment

True, but you need to get the 310k condo first....

Dont buy a GTR unless you have your financials all planned out.

Like a home and stability and if possible, a second car for a daily driver.

If not, i feel you will regret owning your GTR and not be able to enjoy it to the max.

I havent even done extremely major mods like tan sri russ and you dont wanna know how long my GTR sleeps in the workshop.

If it was my daily driver, i will go crazy.

Just my 2 cents.
:)

There you have it guys, straight from the heart of a GTR owner.

RM310k condo is plenty in KL..... So can i say i would expect more than 10,000 GTR on roads??? I own more than that but GTR mods and maintenances keep me away.....

for me a gtr mods and maintenance is cheaper than a used porsche or a 355 ferrari priced around 300k ...gtr is in a price bracket with those used ferrari and porsche..a friend of mine paid rm80k++ for a timing belt change and few minor engine and electronic components replacement...that was consider as standard maintenence for his 355......but if you compare with other jap sports car it might be cheaper than the gtr but than you dont get the same value in terms of a gtr perfomance...but then again its always you get some and you lose some.....then again i am not really fond of r34gtr or skylines as you put it..but perfomance wise ive experienced the r34gtr tumpang friends car and all i can say it is locomotive(in a bullet train way) with its rb26det,electronics,4wd traction.......any way most people tell me that the gtr experience..is what counts....well if thats wats important then its up to the person to decide what to do with the cash....

Russ, you mean the R35? haha
No, the NEW 2007 GTR... :)

DMC, im not sure, but with SouthernBank, i think max is 5 year loan for 2nd hand car.. but there are some other banks, rejected my loan, like Hong Leong because I refused to put 30k in a fixed deposit, and a few more, cant remember which ones, (i think it was bumiputra commerce..) dont even give out loans for Nissan Skyline, coz its a high performance car.. they have a list of cars which they issue loans out for.

Kenny, you've definately spent more in mods than my car, thats why it spends so long time in the workshop! And i agree about the daily driver theory, but only if you drive to work daily. If you have a job, like work on a ship, like me, and dont drive much during the days, then you can have it as a daily driver.. but having a 2nd or 3rd car will also be good, as skagee says, so you wont get 'used' to the power so quickly as you drive less powerful cars regularly as well.

aiya bro should have asset la before buy gtr......unless got rich dad then fresh grad also can buy gtr.....

hahaha true...even got low cost house should be enough 2 cover with all your daily necessities after buying GTR...hahaha

Good Rule

10k is not enough to own a gtr34, that's my 2cent opinion. rule of thumb your annual salary should be equal to your car price.

Thats a good rule - example new clutch for GTR34 ~RM4K
