What's the difference between short stroke shocks and the normal length wan? I'm looking to pair it with my lowered springs on my SV4. :)

Any suggestions??

lowered=short stroke, stock=normal stroke. the diff is the height of the shock. short is shorter n normal is standard height la. want to know more ask abs seller. hehe.

Okie.

Let me reprhase it. What are the implications of Short and normal stroke Abs. Must lowered car use short stroke and only short stroke? If not, what are the advantages.

Let take it this way,

Short-stroke absorbers = an absorber which travel shorter than O.E.M. specified height but will be a bit harder than stock absorbers to reduce the chances of dampers being "damped" together when going over bumpy roads, and I really mean "DAMPED".

Stock/Normal absorbers = an absorber which will travel as stated in O.E.M. specified height.

Stock Springs + Stock absorbers = Good
No comment on this.

Lowered Springs + Stock absorbers = Not that Bad
If you want your car to "damp" you more than you "damp" the car, feel free to try this settings.

Stock Springs + Short-stroke absorbers = Bad
This is a very good example of penis-elongation pill a.k.a. Viagra, only it is in absorber-term.

Lowered Springs + Short-stroke absorbers = Good if used and set correctly.
The car will be proud of his owner, unless the owner is a pothole-drive-thru-driver.

i have to disagree..

performance n ride wise will be a bit hard than stock, but still comfortable.. but ride height combo of short stroke shocks+lowered springs will not be convenient.. scraping n ground clearance of over speed breaker, bumps n potholes will occur

But for gas-piston abs, it's elongation and not shorten, if the original spring is very bouncy, spring rate is high and stiff. Unless of course, Koni double actions abs, adjustable too. Can be pulled and pushed. =P
