But the importers/manufacturers in KL, normally will offer the tyre shops a last order if prices going up the next month.....

I have 2 experience of buying used tyres. The thread is damn thick...but after use for few month..it started to crack and leak at the side. By the way...the manufactured date is 2yrs.

Maybe i m unlucky..but i m not going for 2nd hand tyres anymore. New one are much much more reliable eventhough a bit more expensive.

there is 1 shop in Tun Aminah..opposite post office (big sign board of Continental). Their price quite good. i got my 225/45/18 and 205/45/16 for both cars there..

My ex colleague last time also fitted 2nd hand tyres from Indon. Use for 3 months only then sidewall appear cracks, and by 6 months the crack became bigger and I advise him to change those tyre

Oh! 2 years only and it cracked? What tyres??
The 1st one was Falken, which model i not sure...use more than 1 mth.
2nd one was Yokohama S drive....use less than a mth.
Both size also 205/40/17.....

Currently i m using Yokohama Sdrive too...but 205/45/16.
Tires getting more and more expensive. Gotto change to smaller one and get a set of japan rim (lighter).

By the way, the shop told me 205/45/16 is more expensive than 205/50/16.
Is it true?

Lately Yoko and Toyo prices seems to be sky high. No wonder Korean tyres are selling especially Nexen...

Since Toyo is directly into Malaysian market now, they are lowering their prices at the moment...

Guys,

I feel like repainting my front bumper as it has loads of chips and scratches...BTW, my car is 2001 GTi...last time polished, last year...i fear that the outcome of the new bumper will cast a deep contrast. Will it be obvious? Silver colour looks more easy to me!
