What do you mean corner with jerk?
A-Drive is Yoko entry level drive series
C-Drive is mid level, combination of comfort and performance
S-drive is the sports model
C-Drive 2 has a very soft sidewall, so maybe you mean too soft for corners. Maybe a slightly higher air pressure should solve this problem, but comfort may suffer slightly.
Well, C-Drive 2 is more towards comfort, but heard the grip is good, but may be a bit on the noisy side.Bro vr2turbo,
yes, sidewall too soft, got sound when take corner.
Any other brand suggest for 215/50/17 with price range about RM350/pc ?
Nexen is out as other friend use, damn scare when raining time.
235 and 245 pls, thanks! You gave the rim width, can fit many sizes. Best is you mention the size you want....
I presume 40 or 45 series, then for RM600 can get Falken ZE-912.235 and 245 pls, thanks!
Noise is very individual. Depends also on the car sound proofing.Oh OK. Falken ZE 912.
is this tyre quite?
I'm not into cornering nor hi performance, just want reasonable 18" tyre for my ride.
Not much experience with Firehawk tyres. It is always better to use proven common brand tyres.vr2turbo,
What do you think of firestone firehawk tires? Are they suitable for our climate? Whats the retail on 205/55r16 for these tires?
Sorry, the list was compile by members chipping in their data, so not sure where that place is.Maxxis i-Pro - RM300 Castrol Ros Merah - Opposite AmBank (Feb 12)
where is the location..can i have maxxis tyre dealer in malaysia
Oh! since you were asking, I thought you tried them before.thanks..tayar maxxis ist ok..handling n performance because i never try that
Found them here:-Not much experience with Firehawk tyres. It is always better to use proven common brand tyres.
Even though may not happen but just in case one gets damaged you can get a replacement.
Do you know where this firehawk is from, because there was a recall on some of these tyres in the US.
205/55R16 is very common size. From the expensive PS3 to mid Yoko C-Drive 2 and even the budget Nexen N8000. What are your prioirties?
I think its this one:-Maxxis i-Pro - RM300 Castrol Ros Merah - Opposite AmBank (Feb 12)

If going for used tyres, check carefully the manufacturing date. Many are selling tyres from chop shop and can be quite old....also check for cuts and bruises....Found them here:-
Tyre 16 inch 205 55 16 - Car Accessories & Parts for sale Kuala Lumpur - Mudah.my
Read the reviews at tyre review, uk and found that they are not as good as the ones you recommended earlier. As I am almost always out in the sea, dont really have time yet to search for the tyres so the internet is my best friend.... :rolleyes
Search around can't get C-Drive 2 with 215/50/17, finallly select between Falken Z522 or 912 something or C-Drive 1.Well, C-Drive 2 is more towards comfort, but heard the grip is good, but may be a bit on the noisy side.
Can ask your friend try a slightly higher air pressure, but definitely should be better then his older A-Drive.
For 215/50R17 at RM350 hard to get good performance tyres. What model of Nexen did your friend use.I think either the N6000 or lower as I remember for this side the top N8000 don't have.
GY F1D5 have this size but around RM440 per pc.
Falken ZE-522 is not good. ZE-912 is better. So you fitted C-Drive 1? This is comfort performance tyre.Search around can't get C-Drive 2 with 215/50/17, finallly select between Falken Z522 or 912 something or C-Drive 1.
Hup Sun Sunway comment Falken is reasonable good, at initial listen to their suggestion, when their show me the tyre, manufacturing date is 0932 or 0923 something, even older than my botak tyre manufacturing date 0945.
At that time i changed mind to C-Drive 1 at RM350/pc included balancing.
After that travel to you friend alignment shop Weng Tat Subang which is my prefer alignment choice ( you still remember this is the one you suggest to me when i have alignment problem in 2 year ago ? thx a lot for this as clear my trouble )
Last time, Weng Tat boss & son both comment i buy tyre outside just send them for alignment & balancing.
Now situation change, their put focus for tyre selling, their even offer me cheaper than Hup Sun Sunway.
Maybe next time Weng Tat Subang is another choice for good price tyre.
Yup, only once.Falken ZE-522 is not good. ZE-912 is better. So you fitted C-Drive 1? This is comfort performance tyre.
Yup, nowadays Weng tat trying to get in bulk too, to compete in price, but maybe brands may be limited. Hope they will expand, then no need buy tyres from one place and alignment there. All under one roof will be good.
I remember you join our tt in Esplanade Bukit Jalil once, right?
hmmm.... heard a few members complain about that alignment with the ZE-912. Seems the car will run left and right by itself, but a few mentioned adding 2 to 4 psi depending on your ride, will solve this problem....Yup, only once.
After 2 year, my ride still fit with C-Drive 1, another 2 botak soon, 215/50/17 C-Drive please come, i waiting for you.:wavey:
Weng Tat son told me better don't bring ZE-912 to ask him alignment, him will run away !!
