Just want to update you all,

215/45/R17:

Goodyear assymetric 2 (germany) RM 525
Goodyear assymetric 2 (thailand) RM 475
Yoko s-drive RM 465
Federal RS-R RM 425

Location, yu leck tyres at rawang.

I bought assymetric 2 (germany). Is there any different in term of performance, between made in germany and thailand.?

Did not know Asy 2 had from Thailand also. They must have shifted some production there....so not sure if they have any difference.
As for the earlier directional F1 GS-D3, the first batch were from Germany and later batches were from Thailand. Seems they change the shoulder pattern slightly, tyres were slightly more heavy, compound could be different....

Do you know Goodyear factory at the roundabout after coming in from Federal highway (Tesco interchange). It is opposite the factory, where there are some shop lots. That is one of their 4 branches which are all in Shah Alam.

Me also confused during that time. Then i asked the towkey to show me the tomyam version of GY Assym 2. To my surprise, it really exist. Through my initial observation, there is no any different in term of tread pattern, tread rating, and so on. Just that the manufactured date stated 4011 (end of 2011).

When i asked the towkey what's the differences, he said the compound and rubber quality of germany version are much better. No idea whether it's true or not
Anyway, this remind me of adrenalin re-001 case, which the first batch were made in japan, then the second batch were from thailand.

Yup, same case as in the F1 GS-D3. I think they are trying to bring the price down using ASEAN tariff duty rate since from Thailand, but just hope it does not compromise it's quality....

Bro., Sorry do not have the price of the above, but compared to what I have for GY Asy 2 at RM873, then the price is not bad. You can also try the GY Asy 2, which is said to be better performing.

As for Toyo C-1S, this tyre is in comfort performance category, different from PS3 and GY Asy 2

Sorry coz hijack a bit this thread..here where l live, 1 shop quote me the price of federal 595evo 195/55/15 size including B+A for RM240, izzit a gud bargain?what bout it's threadwear and how's the performance?I'm also considering GY F1 D5 and in here, most of the shop quote the price between 280-310...what bout the threadwear and the performance as compared with federal 595evo

From feedback 595Evo about the same as Hankook V12Evo performance. GY F1 D5 maybe slightly better, but if already paying RM300, PS3 can be considered. Higher grip tyre, thread wear usually will be faster.....

Depends on the thread pattern. If talking of wet grip, then at 50% most tyres will not grip well as water channeling grooves will be 50% gone by then. Dry grip depends on the compound. Have not tried 595Evo before, so not too sure. As for rim protector, it depends from model to model and size too. PS3 as far as I remember comes with rim protector, maybe not the XM1. For sidewall also same, some models are made with softer sidewall, some not.

Or should i opt for federal 595 evo for better dry grip? cheaper too right?
any good suppliers for federal tires?

The GY Asy 2 are awesome tyres. Currently the best in overall performance in UK tyre test.
OE tyre for the Porsche. Federal 595Evo should be one rung below, but if much cheaper of course can try also....

So far the Cheapest in Selangor/KL for Michellin PS3 is RM460.

Nearby my friend area at Sunway. In my housing area at Manjalara,
it cost RM490 per piece and I heard price is going to increase...will be RM520 by then...
