The fifth instalment in the Fast and Furious series, dubbed Fast Five, is finally out with more adrenaline-filled and petrol-fuelled action scenes that appears to bring a fine balance for the movie between actual action and car chase scenes.
All the faces are instantly recognisable as they’re all from the earlier four instalments in the series with a new one in the form of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, The movie centers on a plot to rob a police station of 100 million dollars, most likely drug money as the entire thing is based in Brazil, by Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and the rest of the cast from the earlier movies, including Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster and Sung Kang. Bear in mind that the movie is a prequel to Tokyo Drift which explains why Sung Kang’s character is still alive and drifting. The gorgeous Gal Gadot from the last movie is also back to flaunt her curves.
Johnson stars as a ruthless federal agent that will stop at nothing to bring the crew to justice and is hot on their heels for most of the movie. There’s also an explosive scene where Johnson and Diesel square off in a fist fight that is just overflowing with testosterone and muscles.
As for the other stars of the show, the cars, there’s quite a metropolitan mix with American muscle cars, Italian exotics, Japanese sports cars and continental brute force. We see a couple of flat black Dodge Chargers, a Lexus LFA, Nissan GT-R, Ford GT and many others in the video, which doesn’t lack the cheesy one-liners that have become synonymous with Diesel’s character as well.
