Volkswagen confirms performance division – ‘R GmbH’ to spearhead development of high performance VW’s

Mercedes has AMG, BMW has the M-Division and now Volkswagen has their new R GmbH performance subsidiary. VW says that it’s R GmbH arm is meant to meet the “increased global demand for individualized vehicles with contemporary sportiness and exclusivity”, the subsidiary will handle sales and development of all high performance and Exclusive (Individual) models.
