The Koenigsegg One:1 is mightily fast, considering that it has 1341-horsepower in its disposal coupled with its 1:1 power ratio. But how fast is the One:1 exactly is quite a mystery until Koenigsegg themselves brought down a One:1 to Japan for a private viewing to some potential customers.
Using the Suzuka Circuit as their playground, the Koenigsegg One:1 managed to clock a blisteringly fast 2:17.57 lap time with factory test driver Robert Serwanski behind the wheel. Now it is worth noting that the lap time is not an official run and there were no official body that monitored such run. Nevertheless, to have the car lapping Suzuka more than a second faster than the Nissan GTR which holds the production car lap record at the circuit.
But if you think about it, the One:1 should not have a problem in defeating the GTR’s lap time, especially when there will only be six of such machines being made in existence. Its real fight should be between the heavyweights in the hypercar realm such as the McLaren P1, Porsche 918 and the Ferrari LaFerrari.
Nevertheless, this serves as a good demonstration of the One:1’s prowess and all the fuss about its 1:1 power-to-weight ratio is not just a bunch of made-up shenanigans.
