If you ever need a reason to follow the exciting world of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 2015 edition can provide an exciting platform to kick start with. Entering the competition with their unique front-engined, front-wheel drive GT-R LM Nismo LMP1 race car, the race just got more exciting even before they cross the starting line as Nissan had just unveiled a new livery for one of their race cars. The #21 GT-R LM Nismo is designed to pay tribute to the Nissan R90CK which took pole position in 1990 with a jaw-dropping 3:27.020 lap time.

This retro-inspired livery combines the classical colours of red, blue and white on the bodywork, and the drivers for the #21 race car will be Tsugio Matsuda (Japan), Lucas Ordonez (Spain), and Mark Shulzhitskiy (Russia).

“That lap of Le Mans is certainly a very fond memory for me. It was one of those moments where time stood still and everything went perfectly. You remember those moments, as they don’t happen all that often,” recalled R90CK driver Mark Blundell.
