There is nothing about the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge that we are not interested in. With an aggressive look and a monstrous twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 engine lifted up from the Nissan GT-R, the Eau Rouge will definitely give cars like the BMW M5 or the Mercedes E63 AMG a hard time if it hits the production lines.
And before the fast paced cars of Formula One blazes through the Spa Francorchamps this weekend, Red bull Racing’s Sebastien Vettel took the GTR-powered Q50 Eau Rouge to the place where the car was named after for a little spin. The four-time F1 world champion is also Infiniti’s director of performance, helping a lot in testing the latest version of the Q50 Eau Rouge.
And in the video, Vettel also gave some driving tips to American racing driver Parker Kligerman and Chinese snooker professional Pan Xiaoting, who also drove the Q50 Eau Rouge around the circuit.
The Q50 Eau Rouge was first revealed as a concept at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year, and the car has since progressed to the prototype stage. The relationship with Nissan allows Infiniti to put the GTR’s engine under the hood, giving out 560-horsepower to all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission.
