Looks like the GT3 racing scene in the upcoming years is going to be much more exciting as Lamborghini had recently unveiled the GT3 version of their latest Huracan LP 610-4. One should not confuse this variant with the Super Trofeo as although the Huracan destined for the one-make race is now rear-wheel drive which is similar to the GT3, this new race car will take on the more demanding races like the Blancpain Endurance Series.

Receiving assistance from Dallara Engineering, the 5.2-liter V10 engine is mated to a Bosch Motorsport control unit that manages the traction control, gearbox and the TFT display on the dashboard. The power is sent to the rear via a six-speed sequential gearbox and a three-disc racing clutch. As for the time being, Lamborghini had yet to release any performance figures.

The Huracan GT3 is also equipped with a FIA-compliant roll-cage, an array of aerodynamic upgrades such as the adjustable rear wing, front diffuser and louvres, an OPM fire extinguishing system and a new multifunctional steering wheel. Bringing the monster to a halt is a set of 380 x 34 mm steel discs at the front (6 pot), and 355 x 32 mm steel discs at the rear (4 pot).
