McLaren is slowly extending its family of impressive supercars, with the latest being their new 675LT (Long Tail). Making an appearance in flesh at the recent 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the car is basically a more powerful version compared to the 650S and sits in the Super Series of cars, which includes the 650S and the 625C.

Aside from its global debut, McLaren also took the opportunity to announce that they will be making only 500 units of the 675LT for the global market. McLaren is more than happy to sell one to you at a price tag of USD 349,500 (RM 1,276,863).

Like previously mentioned, the new 675LT is available exclusively in coupe form, since the car is focused on being lightweight, having optimized aerodynamics, increased power, and driver engagement. While the lightweight carbon monocoque chassis is similar to those found in the 650S, the 675LT is fitted with bespoke powertrain and chassis setup.

The 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine now hosts about 50-percent new components and makes out 666-horsepower (or 675hp in metric) and 516 lb-ft of torque. McLaren had also limited the torque to 443 lb-ft in first gear to ensure ideal traction for standing starts, rising up to 516 for the remaining gears.

The Long Tail designation given to the car signals that the rear stretches out further than the 650S, with revised bodywork that helps boost downforce. Aside from the being lighter than the 650S, the wider track allows the 675LT to sit lower as well.
