Russia never fails to amaze us with their crazy antiques, and not to forget the endless stream of amazing dashcam footages that seems too bizarre to be true. From falling meteorites to close shaves, Russia is once again brought into attention with a recent crash of an Aston Martin DB9.
While that may not sound as dramatic as any of the dashcam footages mentioned earlier, the part we are still trying to wrap our heads around is the fact that the one driving it was a 15-year-old kid. At this stage you might think that the kid might have taken the keys to his father’s DB9 and took it for a joy ride, but that is not the case as the car actually belongs to him.
The teen was identified by the Russian media as Konstantin P., who is apparently a goalkeeper for the Zenith-84 football club. He reportedly said that the car was a New Year’s gift from his father, but the previous owner of the car said that on December 31, Konstantin visited him with two teenagers and bought the car in cash.
However, the joy was short-lived as Konstantin was involved in an accident with a Volkswagen Tiguan. After leaving the scene of the crash, he managed to speak to the media and stating that it was not his fault.
“Before leaving the intersection I looked around. There was no one. Suddenly, out of nowhere, on the right side of my side flew a Volkswagen Tiguan. My speed was low – about 40-50km/h, but he was going around 80km/h,” he said.
