Although nothing is official for the time being, the gorgeous Toyota FT-1 concept has been regarded widely as the successor to the legendary Supra. Toyota is now working alongside BMW in developing this new sports car platform, where it is said that the German brand will be using the same platform for their next-gen Z4.

Although the cars are years away from its debut which is expected to take place somewhere around 2017, Car and Driver got a tip from an inside source that this new Supra might come with a price tag of USD 55,000 (RM 184,690), making it pricier than a Corvette.

With such a price tag, one may think that it may be a tad too much, but the price might be justifiable if it comes with an advanced hybrid system.  And if it plans to play around the Corvette region, one should expect the car to be packing an output of over 400-horsepower, most probably with the help of turbochargers or like mentioned earlier, paired with a hybrid drivetrain.

So an output of over 400-horsepower, possibly with a hybrid drivetrain, and a price tag of RM 185,000 (without taxes and such). How does the Supra successor sounds so far to your liking?
