Now, speaking about jobs, we’re pretty sure you all at least have some experience with job hunting and job applications. So, when Davide Testi was still studying at Ferrari’s mechanical school, he chanced upon one of Horacio Pagani’s cars, he followed the car back to the factory and met Horacio Pagani himself. Lucky for Davide, Horacio Pagani said he can start work at the factory after he graduates. Talk about sheer luck.
It wasn’t a bed of roses however, as Davide Testi still has to work his way up, which even included cleaning the floors at the factory. Floor cleaning aside, Davide then moved on to build carbon fibre composite for Pagani to better understand how the cars are constructed. Two years later, he finally gotten the opportunity of a lifetime to drive a Pagani Zonda. Naturally, Horacio Pagani was riding shotgun with Davide when he was driving. Talk about nervousness. Davide’s first drive wasn’t a particularly long drive, lasting on 5 km or so.
Davide may be the chief test driver for Pagani, and that may suggest that his role may be like Clarkson going “Powaahh” all out, but rather, Horacio Pagani wants Davide’s priority is to ensure the car’s safety (No, Davide is not Pagani’s human crash test dummy, in case you’re wondering). The rest then, can be summed up as history.
