If you are one of those that thought Nissan is going too far in NISMO-izing their cars, you better brace for impact as they had recently come out with another one. The Note MPV was introduced back in 2012 and never in our wildest dream that NISMO will actually tinker with such a vehicle, but they did.
The new Nissan Note NISMO gets the usual touches NISMO throws at onto their masterpieces. On the outside, you will get the signature NISMO look of dashes of black and red decorating the vehicle’s white overall. A new mesh grille is also installed, along with a set of aggressive front and rear bumper, side skirts, a sportier exhaust system, and a larger tailgate spoiler. They also fitted the Note NISMO with 16-inch gunmetal wheels wrapped with Bridgestone Potenza RE080 tires.
The interior also gets a couple of tweaks like the Nismo three-spoke Alcantara steering wheel with red centre marking, Nismo sports seats and a darker metallic interior trim.
Under the hood, the same 1.2-liter supercharged direct-injection three-cylinder engine mated to a Xtronic CVT is found, but NISMO had the decency to tweak the ECU and give it a new exhaust system. But do not expect any power gain as it still has 97-horsepower and 142Nm of torque. The Note NISMO S however comes with a more powerful 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that pushes out about 139-horsepower and comes only with a five-speed manual transmission.
