Of course, one of the most anticipated hot hatches to be revealed at the 2014 Paris Motor Show is the new turbocharged Honda Civic Type R; but that is not the only hot hatch garnering all the attention. Nissan had found a way to actually make the Pulsar into a hot and desirable car, and we had yet to touch on the hotter Nismo variant.

Although the Pulsar Nismo still bears the ‘Concept’ tag for the time being, there is a huge possibility that they will soon drop such status and adopt it into the production lines. The Pulsar Nismo is already a looker with its matte grey paint coupled with the iconic Nismo touches of red accents. Like other Nissan products, Nismo grants the Pulsar a new aero package that gives a more aggressive presence.

With a low ride height and 19-inch alloy wheels, the side skirts, diffuser-style rear bumper and central twin exhausts add up to its aggressiveness. Chrome trims are being shoved aside, in favour for black and carbon fiber finishes on various parts of the car.

The Nismo treatment goes on into the interior where the race-inspired cockpit features a red coloured tachometer, sculpted sports seats covered in Alcantara, a three-spoke steering wheel and alloy pedals.

There is a lot of chatter on which engine will it be powered by, and recent reports suggest that a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine from the Juke Nismo will be the choice. But fret not as instead of producing 197-horsepower, the output will be increased to a tantalizing 247-horsepower.
