McLaren’s custom-made department MSO has announced the establishment of their new MSO Defined division which offers a range of customization for their current supercar line-up which include cars like the 650S and the 625C.
MSO Defined is the first of five tiers of personalization and support offered by McLaren Special Operations. It is joined by MSO Bespoke (specializes in one-off models), MSO Limited (producing limited-edition production cars), MSO Heritage (maintenance and storage of historic cars) and MSO Programmes which includes the P1 GTR.
The 650S is offered with a range of goodies from MSO Defined like a new aerodynamic kit and some subtle carbon fiber interior upgrades. The exterior also gets a couple of touches like the carbon fiber rear diffuser and extended side door blades that first made an appearance on the limited-edition MSO 650S earlier this year.
Other options being offered includes a full carbon fiber rear deck and mirror arms, extended carbon fiber shift paddles, and a redesigned instrument cluster with Formula 1 inspired shift lights mounted on the instrument cluster.
“There is a strong desire for drivers to personalize their cars and I’m convinced that the introduction of MSO Defined line will prove popular amongst our customers,” said Paul Mackenzie, Executive Director of McLaren Special Operations.
