Although American cars don’t make it here in Malaysia – we love to keep tabs on the automotive happenings half way across world in the Land of the Free. Driven on the left and the massively expensive taxes has put a stop to these big muscles from making its way to our shores. But if you are interested in having one, might as well get something special and the all-new Viper GTS Anodized Carbon Special Edition might just spark your interest..
Limited to only 50 units, the Viper GTS A.C.E is illustrated in a metallic matte grey body paint finish which further accentuates the sinister looks of the mean looking Viper. At the same time, the exterior is coupled with the 5-spoke ‘Rattler’ alloys which is coated in Black Vapor Chrome to match with the contrasty orange brake calipers; giving the limited edition vehicle a much sought after persona.
The enhancements don’t end there because there are also a few detailed touches to watch out for with the Anodized Carbon Edition. There has been some added styling cues such as the gloss black GTS badge and satin-black exhaust tips giving the special touches to the Viper. At the same time, panels like the fuel-filler cap is now replaced with carbon-fibre and also the brake ducts which has changed in favour of carbon-fibre.
Interior enhancements are presented with Alcantara and Nappa leather seats with orange stitchings to match the much favoured exterior. Many of the interior accents are also replaced with orange tinted carbon fibre to match the theme of the Anodized Carbon Edition. On the dashboard – you can find a plaque stating the unit number of the car, just in case you’ve forgotten when you ordered..
Taking note of the massive 8.4-litre V10 heart that sits under the hood of the rather venomous Viper GTS lives 640bhp and 810nm of torque. Mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, the Viper GTS will sprint from Zerotohundred in 3.6 seconds and all the way to a rather illegal top-speed of 206mph.
