The 2015 NSX Prototype Seen Flexing its Muscles at the Mid-Ohio Course!

The new Acura NSX is definitely one of the most anticipated cars to come in this decade, and it seems like we are getting closer to it. Seen recently at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, was the successor to the Japanese legend making a quick lap ahead of the Honda Indy 200.

Captured by Youtuber cboardman40, he managed to capture the NSX Prototype making a test lap on the 3.86 km Ohio course. It is after the short test run, a member of Honda’s Ohio-based engineering development team, Ted Klaus, chief engineer of Honda R&D America came out with a statement:

“With leadership from our R&D and manufacturing teams here in Ohio, we are developing a next generation sports car that will be equally at home on the street and on the race track, so it is natural for us to showcase the prototype vehicle here at Mid-Ohio”.

“It is exciting for us to see the prototype running on track, reflecting the great purpose we’re making towards the 2015 global launch of the NSX, as we engineer a new sports-car experience for customers around the world”, he added.

Like the previous concepts, this running 2015 NSX prototype in powered by a mid-mounted, direct-injected V6 engine linked to Acura’s Sport Hybrid SH-AWD system that incorporates three electric motors.
