Lamborghini Plans to Bid the Gallardo Farewell with a Stripped-Out, Manual Version?

After a very long production run of eight years and countless versions later, Lamborghini had finally decided to wave goodbye to their most-produced creation, the Gallardo. With over 13,000 units sold worldwide, there is no other way to celebrate a farewell other than doing it the Lamborghini way, which is by coming up with a final sendoff version.

But will this just be another Gallardo with fancy stripes and extra aerokit that will cost the buyer an extra RM 100k? Not necessarily as what sets this final variant apart from all those before it is that it will be bringing back the dying manual transmission. Of course, Lamborghinis are not what you would call as “easy to drive”, which is why those with flappy-paddle gearboxes outsold the manual version nine to one.

But like the Valentino Balboni, this final version aims to bring back the rawness in driving and aside from the stick-shifter, it will also get a stripped-out interior and rear-wheel drive. Lamborghini had yet to release the name of this final Gallardo, but if it is just a straightforward guess, maybe it will be called the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera Edizione Finale?
