F-Type Coupe rendered

Yes, the F-type is back. Now with added roof for when the weather gets wet. Well, when we say its back, we actually mean its back to the drawing boards. For those who dont remember, when the concept car for the F-type was first brought upon the eyes of the world, it came in a low-slung, hardtop form. It was codenamed the C-X16 concept.

For those, like us who prefer a hardtop roof would look forward to this one. This is the rendering of the coming F-Type coupe and whats the best part? It looks exactly like the C-X16 concept! Its very rare to find a production car looking like its concept. And when it does, its almost always a success, like the Range Rover Evoque.

As compared to the C-X16, this Coupe rendering has a few minor tweaks which many may not even notice. For example, the fuel filler cap has been repositioned, the bumper has a headlight washer cut-out and the side-mirrors are larger, and shaped slightly differently. But were nitpicking really, as it is 95% identical to the C-X16.

Just like the roadster, it will be offered in the 2 V6 Supercharged engines and the 495 horsepower 5.0 litre V8. In addition to these engines, we can expect a 600 horsepower and a 2.0litre 4 cylinder engine as well.

The roadster stunned the world with its sheer beauty, even winning the World Car Design of the Year award. Its absolutely exquisite and beautiful, but we reckon this Coupe version would be the epitome of the design. Its like the modern day interpretation of the E-Type Coupe Series 1.
