Hyundai Genesis Challenges An Arrow?

Cars have long been regarded as the symbol of speed, and mankind has been putting it against a lot of fast-moving objects along the years to see who was the fastest. And the ones that had took it up a notch are the guys at Top Gear UK, where they had put the cars on an absurd head-to-head challenge like the Bugatti Veyron vs the Eurofighter Typhoon, or the Corvette vs burning fuel race. These races do not really prove anything significant, but it does work well as a marketing gimmick.

And learning from this is the Korean-automaker Hyundai, where they had put their new Genesis Coupe to go a challenge with an arrow. Yes, you heard it right, an arrow. Apparently this is their attempt to “discover new possibilities”, and most likely to be fueled with curiosity if whether their 2013 Genesis Coupe could go faster than an arrow. Packed with 350 horsepower, Hyundai is getting better in producing performance cars, but could go fast enough to outrun the arrow?

As an assurance, Hyundai added that they had not fiddled with any “computer graphics or digital tricks” in the footage, and the new Genesis could actually do it! But there is a catch though; it did it with a rolling start instead of from a standstill right besides the archer, which pretty much takes off the excitement from the whole thing. Nevertheless, it did answer the question of whether the Genesis could outrun the arrow or not.
