Honda’s CBR600RR is about to turn 5 come 2013, and much like its larger CBR1000RR, it seems they’ve been neglected for quite awhile now after only having received some upgrades in 2011 followed by new liveries for 2012. But as its larger brother gets some attention for a make-over, so now does the smaller 600RR. Finally.
The Honda CBR600RR will be getting a revised set of fairings, thanks to its 6% reduction in drag that’s helped improve the RAM-air effect translating into better mid-range response.
There’s also going to be other revisions that will come in the form of a revised ECU, 12-spoke rims, Big-Piston forks (BPF), a re-tuned rear shock and “Electronic Combined ABS (C-ABS) amongst others.
The Honda CBR600RR will made available draped in Red, wrapped to be called the Repsol Edition as well as the familiar Red/White/Blue combination of colours. No guesses which would be the main favourite out of the three, but just out of curiosity, which livery would be your choice pick?
If and when the 600RR graces our lands, we’re pretty sure it’ll be heading out the doors once it hits the showrooms. We’re hoping the 600RR will be getting a price tag that’s anywhere south of the RM70k mark, though it may be a pipe-dream, there’s always hope.
