The Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 has just been launched and now rumours are already circling the internet of a possible street version of it that will go under the ‘Black Series’ brand – the Mercedes moniker for its performance models that are more hardcore than the AMG models.
The guys at Autocar got first hand news of this but apparently there will be a production roadster debut first before we see a hardcore SLS so expect it to take a while.
The Black Series SLS AMG will naturally feature even more power and will be lighter than the standard SLS. But with the standard car already costing RM 2 million (Malaysian Ringgit), our sources are saying that the car will cost quite a bit more, somewhere around the US$275,000 region to be exact. The good news? Autocar says the car wont see daylight till at least 2013, plenty of time to go digging the couches of your neighbors.
