00_gtrspecv_ringThe GTR saga continues, the guys over at Road & Track magazine have got their hands on the specifications on the highly anticipated Nissan GTR V-Spec and they have spilled the beans. Figures stand at 520 hp @ 6500 rpm, 440 lb.-ft. of torque all the way from 3200–5200 rpm, 1640kg, and earlier reports have confirmed that it laps the ‘Ring quicker than 7:25, that’s faster than a Porsche 997 GT2.

It took the removal of the rear seats and plenty of other stuff and a bit of carbon-fiberication here and there to loose 100kgs. It will cost twice as much as the base GTR when it is officially revealed early next year, expect it to reach here by mid 2009, not officially though, that’s not going to happen for a while.

If it cost twice as much.. then when i comes in to M'sia.. i will cost RM 1.5 Million??? Might as well.. buy a prancing Horse or Bull...

it depents how u see it... but both bull and prancing horse got trashing in top gear track remember?and that was just the basic spec...so even if u in a prancing horse or bull when u look at the GTR u will go like damn a nissan GTR just whoop my ass.. whit the vspec i think u can just forget about by even trying to look for the back ligth of the GTR... coz it will be gone way ahead of u..hehe but of its not as show off as a prancing horse or bull la... but for me i prefer low profile but can kick some ass..

Are they going to use that black wheels as the standard option? To me, it looks un-attractive compared to the standard GTR's rims.


Those who are more of a petrol head (knowing their car's stuffs like the settings, and ultra-geek for car-tards) a GTR is a good choice in their car buying list. While those who are less knowledged, get the prancing horses then. GTR is more to trackdays frequents while prancing horse is for style, elegant and most of all, showing how rich you are.

Seriously, would any normal people will be able to differentiate a standard GTR and a VSpec GTR? :lol: They'll take time to spot the differences.

.Wow... Double the price just to shave off few seconds.... With that money, I'd rather buy a second hand 599.. still cheaper.
