Prototype Honda NSX Unofficially Timed at 7:37min at the ‘Ring

nsxwt3kgpedJust as the GTR did when it was in its development stages, the development of upcoming Honda NSX is also under intense scrutiny from the media. We all know that the Honda NSX is being tested at the Nurburgring and apparently spy photopgrapers have been doing more than just spying and photographing, one of them has also been timing the NSX as it was performing tests around the Nordschleife. According to him, the NSX prototype unofficially lapped the Ring in 7 minutes and 37 seconds, which puts it close to the Nissan GTR that was officially timed at 7 min and 29 sec.

Well, the Lord of the Rings drama is not expected to cool down anytime soon as the Lexus LF-A is also undergoing development at the Ring, and the Nissan GTR V-Spec is expected to blow more than just everyone away. The NSX is rumoured to be powered by an F1 inspired V10 i-VTEC engine that’s good for more than 550hp, that leaves no doubt about the GTR taming ability of the NSX, but there’s still much to be proven.

Isn't this a matter of skill, rather than just the car alone? If they get the same driver of the GTR to test this car maybe it'll be different leh?

V10 i-VTEC engine 550hp
so wats the cc then??

if compare... R35 is using a 3.8 (v6 i guess)... so if the engine cc is lower than the V10 i-vtec, and gtr can lap that time in this circuit.. i think it is still the king~! :D

fuel price increasing ma.. need 2 take consider in the car CC as well
ho ho ho....

v10 doesnt reflect the cc. it is using V10 F1, so it only 3.0. comparing to gtr vr38dett 3.8 and previous nsx c32b 3.2, both are only v6. i assume this nsx is around 3.5~4.0.

nsx got lot of potential. even the current stock nsx-r 280hp had done the lap under 8.00

hell yeah baby let the game begins.

Anyway, it doesnt matter how big the engine is. If not u cant say the GT-R is better than the evo or impreza coz both the evo and impreza is only 2 liter (2.5 on some impreza).

It is an F1 inspired V10, meaning v10 based on F1 technology. I'ev heard it's a 5.0 L reving to about 9-10k, not 2.6-3.0L rev to 21K RPM like those on an F1 car

It is too early to speculate anything yet. what if they decide to twin turbocharge the NSX replacement?
