Bentley Tetsu GTR by ASI

bentley-tetsu-gtr3What do you get when you combine a luxury vehicle, an American show known for its ‘bad-ass’ rides, and a luxury hotel designer? I know the combination is absurd but put those three variables together and you get this, the Bentley Tetsu GTR by ASI.

A Bentley Continental GT is obviously the base car with the huge grill probably getting its inspiration from the Bentley Zagato and the S3 E Design Concept from Bentley Boys USA. The show variable represents SEMA, where this Bentley gangster is due to be revealed. So where does the luxury hotel designer fit in this? Well, he, a certain and very prominent Tetsuei Nakamura is the brains behind the design, perhaps accidentally mistaking the Continental GT for a small building due to its sheer size.

But this GTR like any other GTR is also about power as it is about looks. Can you imagine a gangster who can’t fight? That’s why this GTR goes as fast at it looks, well no car can help being fast when it has enlarged turbo’s, an extensively remapped ECU, advanced cooling parts, and easy-breathing efficient exhausts, all contributing to a stonking 800hp.

So it’s fast, it’s good looking, but what’s so special about it? If 800hp is not special enough for you, maybe you’ll find comfort in the very special seats and floor-mats that are fashioned after the Nishijin weaving legacy (google it), or maybe the two-tone carbon fiber body panels coated in Fujiyama matte white colour scheme works for you, or maybe the modern LED lights and the road-hugging oversized bodykit as well as those fat 22s could do it for you.

If that doesn’t, keep in mind that everywhere you drive, people will be mistaking you for a Yakuza godfather. The car does command respect and admiration, that’s something no one can say no to. I wouldn’t say no to this ride, would you?

looks good ... a plain simple matte black on the hood would be better then a bunch flowers here and there giving a messy look.

Very good design. They integrate Japanese elements inside like bamboo gates on the seats and leaves from a one of those Japanese trees. If they used Sakura flowers might be more apt. But then again they could also use Samurai elements and more. If anyone didn't notice, the leaves are also present on the door trimmings.

Actually its a little strange. From front the car looks like a chick mobile. Something that Paris Hilton might drive. At the back, its butch serious racer. But somehow it works when viewed at a perspective. I like the rear wheel arch. Its somehow retro in styling. A heavy hint in the old Bentley Speed. In fact its more pronounced than the original car! Probably the color.
