Driven: Mini Cooper S Bayswater – it’s more than just a looker.

Frankly, the mini is probably the most famous automotive marque in the world. Personally, I have not met a person who hasn’t heard of the MINI. Over 5 million of the original, classic mini were built and although that number seems relatively undermined compared to the Beetle (21.5 million were built), its revolutionary design and petite physique took over the roads for over 3 decades.

When BMW took over Rover Mini in 1994, there was a plan. The mini was a badge that needed to be revived and in 1998, BMW Designworks in California came up with the R50 Mini One. Quickly the word spread out, and when it was launched in 1999, it was crowned, the 2nd most influential car of the 20th century, losing the title to the Ford Model-T. Read the rest of this entry »

The Backwheels Bitches’ Pavilion Assault!

While most try to come out with a simple and direct car club name in symbolizing themselves, these lot does not bother to do so. With a wide range of retro cars dating far back to the 60’s, they simply called themselves as the “Backwheels Bitches”, which upon the first time hearing it gives no clue whatsoever on what kind of car club this is.

Very Very Expensive Crash: Rare Ferrari 250 TR Meets The Tyre Wall At Laguna Seca

Getting into a crash can be a painful affair, not only for your body but for your pocket as well no matter what car you drive. It only gets worse if you drive a exotic, painful if it’s a modern exotic, bordering on unbearably excruciating if it’s a classic exotic. Last weekend’s Monterey Hictoric race saw a number of very expensive classic and modern exotics but the one car that stole the show was an ultra expensive Ferrari 250 TR that smacked into a bunch of tires at the famed Laguna Seca.
