3 piece rim....he has a set(4 pcs) of 3 piece rim(type of rim)...

3 piece rim means that...if u take out one by one(the rims), u will get 3 pieces out of it...

if we say 2 piece rim, that would mean if u take out the rim, it would contain 2 pieces(per rim)...

there is also 2 piece welded....this is almost similar to 2 piece rim but cannot take out(cause has been welded together)....
