Honda Inspire 91/01 for sale. Still a great looking and powerful car, really sad to part with it but have upgraded cars already. Everything in good condition and well maintained. This car's year of make is 1991 but I only purchased it brand new in 2001, its all stated in the car registration card; Di Impot Baru'. I am also the first and only owner. Some points of note below:

- 2.0 litre 5 cylinder engine
- 165 PS (standard spec, not upgraded)
- Electric Driver's seat
- Rimless doors
- Momo steering
- Auto Climate Control (Digital Air-cond)
- 15" ori Honda Accord CF4 SiR rims
- Fuel regulator
- Koni absorbers with Eibach pro-kit springs
- Current original mileage 80+k (110% sure never tampered b4 cos this car was just purchased brand new in year 2001)
- Full stainless steel exhaust piping
- Philips Diamond Vision bulbs

Anyway, this car really needs to be viewed to be appreciated (although i know this is a cliche)

Selling for RM 23,800, if interested please call Raymond at 012 2090130

Car location - Subang/Glenmarie

Raymond,

I used to love this model before. Just bit curious, you meant this car was made in 1991 and its only sold to you in 2001? so in 10 years, the car was just sitting in the showroom or factory!

what is the different this model and accord? anyone can explain....do they use the same sparepart.

Hi Kijoi,

Yes I loved it then, still love it now... yup the dealer brought it in to Malaysia in 1991, think that time he brought in 10 or 20 units, all sold except 2 units which sat in the warehouse until I bought it in 2001. Reason he gave was that the import tax at that time suddenly increased by the government so he couldn't sell the last 2 cars. Of these 2 cars, 1 was purchased by me, the other 1 by my dad's friend and brought back to Ipoh. You can still see the other Inspire around Ipoh, black color with WJD plate as well.

I have all the AP documents as well so no problem for any potential buyer.

Difference between this model and the accord with similar lights (yr 90~93):

Locally assembled accord = SM4
JDM imported accord = CB4
Accord Inspire = CB5

These 3 cars share a lot of common parts except for engine and transmission. Even the suspension is the same mounting altho they have different model codes.

Reason being that the CB5 Inspire has a 5 cylinder NA engine with 165 PS. Spare parts for the Inspire is also plentiful as there are quite a lot of half cuts around KL. New parts can also be sourced easily.

In fact some of the parts between the SV4 accord (94~96) and the CB5 are also interchangeable...

Hope that answers your questions...

Hi Raymond,

I have number of questions before I proceed with car viewing.

1) This inspire engine has VTEC technology?
2) Possible to tell me how much u bought during Year 2001?
3) Any car loan available?
4) Do you still have the original Honda Inspire Steering with you?
5) How's the petrol consumption?
6) Is it 4 speed auto?
7) Is it hard to maintain the 5 cylinder engine?
8) Are you sending to Honda Service or outside workshop.

Hope you don't mind I ask so many questions.

Thanks.

Hi Raymond,

1) This inspire engine has VTEC technology?
No, this engine does not have VTEC technology, just straight 5 cylinder engine

2) Possible to tell me how much u bought during Year 2001?
I bought for around 70k during Year 2001, way above market price for used Inspire at that time...

3) Any car loan available?
I'm really not sure about this, my guess would be that its pretty hard to get a loan due to the year of manufacture being 1991, unless its a personal bank loan.

4) Do you still have the original Honda Inspire Steering with you?
Yes, I still have it and will of course include it with the car.. the original steering comes with cruise control buttons. However, the boss kit for the current MOMO steering is also special in that the cruise buttons are standard on the top of the boss kit, so it still functions.

5) How's the petrol consumption?
Petrol consumption is just okay for this car, not fantastic.. estimate around 7.5~8 km / litre. Offset is of course the horsepower of this car..

6) Is it 4 speed auto?
Yes, it is a 4 speed auto

7) Is it hard to maintain the 5 cylinder engine?
No, it is not, just regular oil change service like any other car, no special tuning or anything required. Other than the fact that you need to buy 1 extra spark plug everytime when changing plugs.. cos normal plugs come in packs of 4...

8) Are you sending to Honda Service or outside workshop.
I'm sending to my regular mechanic (outside workshop) at Subang Jaya, SS19..

Hope you don't mind I ask so many questions.

Thanks.

FWD dude. The only RWD in a Honda are the F1 cars, their motorcycles and the now defunct NSX.
The way of engine organized looks like rwd...isn't it
So now I'm understood...
