the price rm3k+ is for type R's gearbox as u mention
prices are different for normal vtec gearbox..
i'm not quite sure about the price for bigV's gearbox but
i'm sure u can get a small V's gearbox without lsd for rm8++.

EF is my 1st car, and im just sooooo in lurve wit it forever. for me,

it is the best FF car to take corner

the best car to use for drag

the best car to use for daily ride

the best car to apply candy color

the best dashboard (coz its low-positioned)

the most cun car to apply recaro spg n brides full bucket

the best car to apply mugen rnr rims

the widest rear glass amongst all civics. so u can put many stickers like polarbear

the hardest car to get the door visor hahahahahah but its fun to look for it at hafcut.

the nicest rear bumper - u can sorok ur exhaust and look cool from the back

the best leper car before RX7 hahahahahaha

and so many more laa..

maybe its quite hard to get exotic parts for EF such as the strutbars, CF hoods, skirts, lips and spoiler, but u will feel soooo good when u found those parts are available around d world..

i almost sell my EF last month to purchase EG.. but after consulting few civic old timers - it sent shock thru me as most of them disagree abt me selling EF to buy EG. so this car will be kept forever...

ef2, ef6, ef7 OR ed series has lighter body ( depend on options as well eg sunroof )
compared to eg , ek , of coz EFs the lightest

ef 7's body is lighter than ef 8's body.

now for civic's.....
for ef3(Si) lightest is 900kg n heaviest is 950kg for different specs
for ef9(Sir) weight is 990kg
for ef9(SiR II) lightest is 1010kg n heaviest is 1070kg for different specs
