People not rich like you laaaaaa. The amount you spent on your project car, can buy new car already.
Daihatsu Copen or GTR! but I like Copen more:driver:
Boss, how is a Copen or GTR easy to maintain.

Latest update on GT86 pricing is below 100K, about 98K, manual transmission.

Thank you.

I would prefer convertible, budget below Rm200K.

My boyfriend owns a Honda Civic, but it’s bumpy and too noisy, prefer something less aggressive.

thats an obvious no to the lotus then.
-must be convertible under 200k
-im assuming a new car isnt part of the requirements.
-im also assuming easy to maintain means no z4's, audi tt's vw's or rcz's?

i) mx5
- its a decent all rounder car.
- latest gen is a real looker
- well known to be much fun

ii) slk?
- erm..... well fits the criteria i suppose
- 3 pointed star extrudes classiness
- comfortable

iii)s2000
- old
- owning this car gives you free coolness points regardless of its age.
- maintanance if well kept isnt such an issue i believe?
- comfort is well.... erm....... no comment

quite sure im gona get spit on for suggesting these:
s660
- really small
- really cute
- not really fast but im suspecting its a buttload of fun
copen, similar to the 660, just imo less special

Hi Ism1991, thanks for your elaboration.
I personally do not like BMW Z4, because of the head of Z4 too long and rear too short, sort of imbalance.

SLK seems like a good choice, between MX5 & SLK.

S2000 seems like very old already

Between SLK and MX5, the MX5 is easier to maintain, for sure.

If you're willing to look at the SLK, then you should consider the Porsche Cockster Boxster

BUT, if reliable, easy to maintain, MX5 for sure over the continentals.

In that case then probably the MX5 is the most suitable for you coz its sporty yet not fast/aggressive, and still more reliable/easier to maintain than an Audi TT or Merc SLK for example.

Next best choice is the S2000. It is nicer and cooler, but older and less comfortable as well as much faster. Just the price is also ridiculous now as now it becomes a collectible car.

Go test a Honda S660. It's a convertible, it's a Honda, it's turbo charged, it's ultra nice to drive regardless auto or manual (manual is better) and it'll out corner your boyfriends Civic.

It's newer than all except the ND MX5 cars. So maintenance is minimum. 3-cylinder means less parts to break. And if you need to know where to get one let me know. I bloody love this car.

s2000 is old, yes but its a special kind of car. Its has a following of its own, so it automatically comes with street-cred just sitting there. If you are not the kind who knows how to look after or deal with older cars, skip it.

mx5 is probably easier to look after and is really a nice car. Not sure what you would deem comfortable. Assuming your your bf's car is a Type-R civic, then you will probably be able to deal with the mx5, however if his car is a typical civic and you consider that uncomfortable, then you might have to look for something else.
