200k is abit pricey .

top 10 NHRA Honda ... can easily bought it for $50~60k US dollars .
Running on mid 8 sec , with sequantial transmission ,

also i wonder how they settle with Malaysian Customs .
since the car was bought in for Show or Event ... not they are available for sale .
hmm... top 10 nhra honda cost USD$50 - 60k? ever tried converting it to RM$ ?
YES... it does work out to be the same region of pricing as a top 10 Japan NHRA equivalent

and your point is... [/b][/quote]
the most expensive part on a drag car is the transmission ...
but the topfuel only use a stock tranmission with maybe some racing cross gear ,

I heard that Apexi drag Integra was sold for around $38k USD , that is with the Xtrac tranmission , the tramission setup new cost $20k Usd ,

that is my point .

agree that the transmission is one of the costlier parts of the car, especially if using a dog box of some sort... BUT where did you hear that apexi integra was sold for around USD 38k???

so damn expensive the price man.......just for 10secs turbo class......
better i use that money send my engine to US tuner...
nowadays, there's alots of NA Vtec from USA can clock 10secs.....
its been proved by them, such as;-

1) Ericks Racing Integra coupe with 1.8l NA B18C engine runs 10.6 secs
2) Leslie Durst CRX from Horizon Motorsports with NA B20B Vtec engine runs 10.01secs.

Cheers.......its an NA Vtec engine man..not a turbo like Top Fuel CRX.....

And for Turbo Class, Steph Papadakis from AEM POWER runs 6.7secs with his civic coupe runs vtec twin turbos....

Anyway, thats Top Fuel CRX is also fast man..

I'm not trying to hijack this threads, just giving some good info here.....

PEACE........ B)

Haha, why the hell is selling Top Fuel CRX at 200K so much to say about?

They put their technology into the car, so they can put the price up to whatever price they want. I believe if you are a designer and you design a one-off-the-shelf, i reckon you want it to sell as high possible, just for your INTELLIGENCE.

NA 10+ sec will require a whole new chassis rebuilt, as mentioned, this one still using original but lighten.

Anyway, back to the point, so 200K, anyone? You can buy it and rebuilt it with a tube chassis yourself and be proud when you can hit SIC at high 8s FWD! First in Asean? :P

1st thing i'm a new member here & would like to say hi to all.

now to the topic, i've recently bought a Mitsubishi Lancer GT-S & yes i pay extra for the 'special edition', i heard that alot of ppl say its stupid but i just can't resist the black rims
I like the car's handling but really really hate the stupid CVT gearbox, it just sap all the engine's power & the manual mode isn't any better. The 4B11 engine is also abit lazy, it didn't rev like crazy & the low end torque is...
