Why don't the dealers share such importnant information with car buyers? I don't understand why this isn't in the drivers ed manual? I don't get why any mechanic I have ever been too or know has even thought of mentioning this to me? The only possible explantion can be that all these people probably don't even know!
This quote really makes me go and investigate the myth and so sorry, found out why these ppl don't tell us "this information".
It is because it's just a myth and doesn't apply to all car.

Cheers!...........an urban legend which is proven wrong!

no not really. the new Honda Civic fuel gauge on the multiplex meter is shown with the handle on the right. but the good thing is there's an arrow pointing left that suggests that the fuel flap is on the left.

but i think it depends on the car manufacturer. most european cars, BMW, mercs and so on usually have their fuel flap on the right side where as japanese cars usually have the fuel flap on the left side.

i might be wrong though.

actually... when the needle points at "E" means the fuel tank is full cuz ENOUGH while "F" means need to refuel cuz it's FINISH.

one more secret for exotic cars are, they kinda reverse the F and E.

for exotic cars like zonda,bugatti,ferrari,

F stands for finish and

E for empty.

please take note and share the knowledge

<p>The Toyota 86 has been associated with numerous possible models ever since it was launched last year. Other than the more powerful turbocharged/supercharged version that enthusiasts say is a must-have for a fun FR machine, they are also eyeing on a convertible version to pop out anytime soon.
