ROTA Grid Wheels. Style over safety?

Have not seen rims damaged these way before, especially the second one because no damage on the outer rims??

Back home in the Philippines alot of people track their cars running ROTA's Circuit Showdown - Home

I don't really use ROTA except for OEM wheels but I've got nothing againts them aside from re-sale value. I mean if you buy original jdm wheels for a certain price and you keep the wheels properly and take care of it, you can sell them the same price you got them or maybe higher

If buy second hand, then sell won't loose much.....but depends on condition also.....
