Yes; there are two variants of the R8; a V8 and a V10. From the front, it is clearly a V8. As for that off-white tone... I'm guessing this is the one:

I took the pic several months back, and remember the distinctly different white hue.

Just because R8s are everywhere, doesn't mean that they are any less special. If we all had to go by that concept, then the Proton Tiara would also be rather special...
