proton waja mysterious secret button

its a used unit or u bought it brand new?
sometimes when the previous owner install after market anti-theft (bracket) or auto lock or alarm, then the button to reset the alarm, or to press open all door's central locking or new alarm overriding button....juz my 2cents...coz i remember waja no such button as described..

well...y not u go in depth of ur research? open up that box and see whether there're any wires connected to it. try and hunt down where the wires are connected to.

well nope have nt tried my alarm but for alarm already gt switch near the hazard light button , so i doubt , il be dropin by proton sc one of tis day , need to tune the car so il check wif thm la , i suspect its an ecu reset or gearbox ecu reset button.

i am 95% sure that is a alarm switch.... but funny though, because that place always will kena hit and ... why there ?

anyway threadstarter, if it's not doing anything, leave it alone la .. hahhahaa. Maybe it's just some part that proton used to make that piece of part, and a button was in the way, so they just 'heck it, lets just use it la, leave the button there' and they placed it there.. hahahaa

But if its like 2nd hand, then ask the previous owner la.. Or do like most of the people here say la. Smoke emitter... Alien extinguisher .. Ability to drive upside down etc hhaahahahahahaha

its after market switch....
the stock reset button is ain between radio panel and air cond vent...
check either its unlock button for auto central locking or its an arm switch...
if ur car comes with captor, it might be captor's activation switch for the 1st captor model....

i think it is a reset button but dun know what reset button. y dun u try pressing it continuosly or press n hold until sumthin happen. then everybody will learn sumthin new. hehehe.

but it looks like sum aftermarket switch. did u change ur radio?

nope my cd player is stock standard clarion , coz i love the steering controls and dunoe how to change player and retain the controls.

anyways guys went to proton sc yesterday morning the guy confirmed is a after market switch either for alarm system or fuel cut , but its not wired so im free to use it , well at least thats off my back , even he was scared to touch he said cud be ecu reset wei , haha but after he open and found out nt wired he also relaxed.

anyways engine tuning at proton cost me rm30 , quiet ok better pick up and smooth power band through out.
