This Welch Motorsport Proton Persona (or Gen-2 in the UK, our Gen-2 is Gen-2 hatchback) is finalising their testing and would start racing the soonest.

latest image of Welch Motorsport Gen-2 BTCC Car (curi from btccpages..)

the wide fenders reminds me of DTM cars..
anyway, cant wait to see it in action! :driver:

actually they are using NGTC regulations as per BTCC newest regulation, which is 2.0L turbocharged engine with 6 speed sequential gearbox.
last time BTCC uses S2000 regulation (our yellow Satria Neo rally spec).

full NGTC spec HERE

yep. they should've use the the latest brake light and also R3 bodykit.
it'll look awesomer than this. hehe.

as for the engine, they can go either from Proton or TOCA supplier.
which they opted for the full engine form the TOCA supplier (Here).
all transmission are from Xtrac.

this Gen-2/Persona will be the 3rd full NGTC spec racer after Avensis and A4.
all the other cars on grid are either still S2000 or kacuk S2000+NGTC

another hatchback after seat leon for them maybe not fun....so they try this longer gen-2 to race with....

actually they do have minimum length.
they also dont want the small2 cars play touring car.
toouring cars should be sedans..
and seat leon is quite big 4 doors whereas neo is small 2 doors..

and the S2000 format is gonna be dead in 2 years, it cannot compete with the NGTC format.
S2000 expensive, NGTC cheap and powerful.
now the turbo NGTC cars have to limit their boost just to give some handicap to those NA S2000 cars..

i think so too.
the fender is too kosong.
the wheels size are fixed so they should re-do the fender...
