I don't know about you guys but I am sensitive to shakycam movies, you know the movies that have deliberately shaking camera to give a more realistic, documentary feel to a movie.
I actually liked the movies like Hunger Games, Hurt Locker, and Chronicle, but the shakycam made me nauseous and gave me a headache. The worst was Hunger Games that gave me headache for 2 days (not exaggerating) . I really wanted to leave the cinema room many times during the show. Now, I heard Hunger Games 2 is coming but I am not going to watch it if they are still going to use the shakycam.
Only some people are sensitive to shakycam. My wife and son have no problems. This nauseous feeling is caused by the mixed signals our brains are getting from our eyes and ears. Our eyes see the shaky cam and tell our brains that we are moving, but our ears tell that we aren't moving, so our brains get confused.
What about you guys? Do you have it bad?
