mmm...black top 20v can be in the list as wellNot much point getting a Sentra over Corolla and Civic if you want to use the stock Sentra engine... But if you ask me, I'll go for 4A-GE, B16A or 4G92 MIVEC over SR16VE.

It is on the list. Blacktop is also 4A-GE what?mmm...black top 20v can be in the list as well
normally 4age refered to 16v..izit??It is on the list. Blacktop is also 4A-GE what?
Not so sure. I differentiate them by 4A-GE (normal), Silvertop 20V and Blacktop 20V. Even the normal 4A-GE got several version if I am not wrong.normally 4age refered to 16v..izit??
I heard some said that to push very high power NA mods, 16 valve 4A-GE is preferred over 20 valve. Formula Atlantic build 4A-GE.for seg there are 3 'famous-er' performance variants, 4age silver and black, and the 4gze
but from what i see, a decent blacktop with the 6 speed will probably set you back more than 10k....
yep i have heard the same thing, but to be honest most cases, if you simply wana push more power than that you would go with some other engine, costs alot to squeeze power from most na'sI heard some said that to push very high power NA mods, 16 valve 4A-GE is preferred over 20 valve. Also, silvertop internals seems to be stronger than blacktop since blacktop internals are lightened.
If one is aiming for performance per cost ratio, NA is probably a bad idea to start with. Sometimes, it is about the fun of achieving a certain milestone and see how far the potential of the engine can be pushed.yep i have heard the same thing, but to be honest most cases, if you simply wana push more power than that you would go with some other engine, costs alot to squeeze power from most na's
haha yeah very true, anyone can push 200hp out of the 4g but 200 from a 4age is just pretty darned impressiveIf one is aiming for performance per cost ratio, NA is probably a bad idea to start with. Put it this way, a 200hp 4G93T may be nothing but a 200hp 4A-GE NA is really something. Just my own opinion though...
And imagine the smooth and high revving characteristics of a modded NA engine. NA engines may not be as powerful as forced induction engines but NA have their own unique charm as well. Driving is not all about power, specs and figure right? It is about fun.haha yeah very true, anyone can push 200hp out of the 4g but 200 from a 4age is just pretty darned impressive
http://www.mudah.my/1991+Toyota+Corolla+1+6+M+20V+Blacktop+4+ITB-48479169.htmMaybe you can try to find an Ae92 with 4A-GE Blacktop inside. Price should be around 10k.
That aggressive looking AE92 Levin front looks nice.hope this aint considered promoting but i saw this...

Happy to know that we managed to help you.Hi Guys,
thanks for the info.
Haven't replied due to bz schedule at work.
Alot of the things you guys say, i already know. But i had forgotten abt 90% of it. Thanks fr the remembrance.
My choices are Corolla and Civic (in that order). Not that i am not going after power. But will definitely focus on engine efficiency and handling (not forgetting brakes) .
Got a buyer for my current car. So waiting for buyer's side to process his loan. then i have some shopping to do.
thanks for your contribution in everyway.
