japan neva stop producing these models. in jap, they call it DEX+DEQ P01(P90 in m'sia), now they got restyled ones, called DEX+DEQ P01II, P99 is DEH-P01 in jap. it's not a replacement for P90, it is like an upgraded version of P80 to compete with hx d2. odr d7x+p70x or higher is much better in terms of sound quality compared to any prs series. p99 shares the same sq character like the p90 but onli with the functionality of an odr. the main selling point of p99 is using odr sound processor. but the dac aren't those used on odr. if u have the extra cash, go for odr, the latest odr d7xIII + rs-p90 is abt rm14k if i recalled correctly, imported from jepun. comparing the p99 and p90, p99 we have to spend alot on rca cables which ain't cheap, while p90 has a seperate proc which can be placed near the amps, which help us cut the cost of the cables. sq wise both are gud, but i find p90 a lil' unlively, lack of emotion. odr is better but more exp choice. hope this helped, personally i'm an ODR fan. :p

p90rs has already been archived in many countries (like singapore, UK etc) and replaced by the 2010 p99rs, japan has 1001 models and models are even different, spec-ed different, so don't go there and compare la. hehe!

btw, we are in malaysia and i believe that once stock kehabisan, the p90rs will be taken out from the pioneermalaysia webbie or archived as well. that also means there won't be international orders for pioneer japan anymore. blah blah blah....
