my fren civic EK 4 doors with EK4 B16A big V manual with LSD kena toyota LE with AE101 4AZGE stock standard tapau in 400m sprint!!!

my fren kena 1 and the half car...now,he very sad and ask me to seek help from vtec sifu here...

his car current mod :

AROESPEED adj.pulleys
PIVOT earth cables
MUGEN air cleaner
EXEDY racing clutch
BLITZ access ECU
TANABE exhaust

the rest all standard... now,he aready bought B16A head with port & polish,regrind both 272 in & ex. cams with extra 0.5 lift from me... and now he wanted to change the vtec oil pump,prefer the after market one...how much and can we use the B16B or B18C tapR one or not? thanks a lot... ;)

hey dude, yr fren's ek4 is auto/manual? im not suprised, as my fren's EG4 (converted to EG6 B16A Big V), lightened here and there, mugen back box, etc etc also kena tarpau..by Putra Stock 1.8 with straight flow piping.

depends alot on driver. my fren also sad, he said he launched that time also, the putra already 1 and half car! cos the guy using manual, use handbrake to control lagi, launched perfect. auto is one thing, skills is another.

just try rolling start, see who will win..if rolling start also loss, maybe the engine la but if win, the skill la..hehe

supercharge engine release the power in all time,not as v-tec need to reach the specific condition to output his power,tats y cant compare,some more LE is lighter compare to EK
 
BigV lose to supercharger?got ma? last month my fren's gsr turbo also win abit to eg bigV leh..hm..driver problem..or....TOYOTA GENG...c f1 then u know la :P :P :P ..haha!!
 
alo fren LE where got AE101 .. ;) i dunno why u point out the word "stock" ... u mean LE 1.3 stock tapau Honda SiR?
 
LE is AE80 or EE80.... quite light. no wonder it is fast ler. besides EK4 should be heavier.

AE80 4a-gze vs EF sedan B16A is more fair.
 
i'm sorry to post here. i'm a toyota guy but a supercharge against a vtec? that's just unfair.

forced induction vs normally aspirated = no chance, especially supercharger.

if vtec vs turbo there might be a chance cos of turbo lag but a supercharger boosts up immediately as you open the throttle.

plus it's a ae101 supercharge engine in a light chassis. 175hp in a 900+kg chassis. better power to weight ratio.

next time u want to race against that LE ask for 600+ metre race or even a full lap race in a circuit. then u might have a chance.

p/s: i do respect honda. their f20c engine is just amazing. plus the b series engine.
 
somemore the 4agze is easy to mod...
by changing the pulley of the supercharger
already gain few more.
and the torque of the gze is rich...

hmm.... i must say, supercharger vs NA is never fair... y take pride with such a race? .... from d list of mods i see from yer fren's B16a, it's only lightly modded... a 4AGZE with a 165mm crank pulley can churn out a 0.8 bar of boost.... 0.8 bar vs 0.bar.. = fair? hmm.... imagine a b16a with supercharger and raced with d 4AGZE.. i think d result would have been different....
